The performance emerged after a three-month research on the human microbiome. The fictional scenario visualizes the immersive microbial cloud surrounding and permeating the human body. It challenges the human’s perception of the body as an individual. By accepting being a multitude the human enters in a ‘bacteria-phil’ and caring community. In the created world, people use body language to communicate their needs for bacterial exchange,leading to beneficial and communal health practices.
